Commandant​ John Ledingham
Coach
John started coaching for horsescotland when he took over from Paul Darragh over 10 years ago, bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience to the team. His coaching discipline is showjumping and he is a Level 3 Horse Sport Ireland coach.

Looking back over John’s career, he has competed in sixty five Nation Cups for Ireland and has been on many of the winning teams competing in Aachen, Dublin (5 times), Hickstead, La Baule, Calgary Athens, Lintz, Chaudfontaine, to name but a few. He has had Grand Prix wins on Four Continents. John has also been selected for four Olympic Games.

John is married and has three sons. He likes the outdoor life, particularly hunting, shooting, and fishing. John enjoys watching all sport on TV and is an avid Munster and Leinster rugby fan.
