Dressage Volunteer Roles
As a volunteer, it is a great way to watch others competing, get a feel of how dressage competitions run and what makes a good test. If you volunteer to write for a judge – when you note down a judge’s comments on the dressage sheet as it is being ridden – you will get an even better insight which can help your own performance.
British Dressage offers training for judges at all levels – if you are a member of British Dressage and have ridden in affiliated competition you can apply to become a trainee judge.
But, apart from all that you can learn as a dressage volunteer, and the satisfaction of giving something back to your favourite sport, getting involved is just good fun. An equestrian-packed day out with plenty of like-minded people – what are you waiting for?
