The Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games will be the biggest sporting and cultural event ever held in Scotland and your help is needed to make it a success.
Staging the Games requires a volunteer workforce of up to 15,000 people. We are now recruiting up to 300 frontrunners(pre-games volunteers) to act as Volunteer Interviewers and potentially Trainers in support of Scotland's biggest ever peace-time recruitment drive.
These roles will be based at the Volunteer Centre in Glasgow's Merchant City area.

Who are we looking for?
Volunteer Interviewers/Trainers will have a combination of excellent communication skills and previous experience of interviewing, coaching, training or mentoring.Volunteer Interviewers will be needed for a minimum of 2 days per month from April 2013 until December 2013 and may subsequently be invited to support our training programme which will run from January 2014 until July 2014.
Please note these are not Games Time roles.
About the role
These roles are incredibly important to the success of Glasgow 2014, our Volunteer Interviewers and Trainers will play a key part in helping us find up to 15,000 finest and friendliest Glasgow 2014 Games Times Volunteers.
Their responsibilities will include:
- · Creating a positive interview experience for candidates
- · Completion, notation and scoring of interviews
- · Administration duties such as photocopying and record-keeping
- · Interviewers may be invited to become volunteer trainers when our Games Workforce training programme begins in January 2014
