The BBC recently showed a fascinating documentary (click here) about a condition known as Cerebral Visual Impairment which featured a young man called Finlay. He describes the benefits he has experienced from carriage driving. Finlay, a member of Sports Driving Unlimited, demonstrates that despite his condition and the challenges it presents, he has successfully developed his driving skills and has competed both indoors at Keysoe and, last year, drove in his first ever outdoor event at Nidd Hall.
Sports Driving Unlimited is a horsescotland Club Member. It is a charity organisation based in Lockerbie and they say "Disability is ‘no barrier’! Carriage driving is a great sport for anyone with an additional need or disability".
