Hi everyone,

We have had a great summer with some exciting shows still to come. Kathryn Prentice Vet Physio came out at the beginning of September to give the horses a physio session to make sure they were still in top condition after all the jumping and traveling we have done since she last seen them. The horses always feel amazing after she has been!

We went to the SWS Area Derby Show at Muirmill with Con, Cleo and Cancun. The horses all jumped brilliant rounds with Con coming 4th in the 1.10 derby, Cancun coming 5th and Cleo just outside the placings but winning best turned out in the 1.20 derby. The SWS Area make a huge effort to put on brilliant shows for us and it was yet another great day which everyone thoroughly enjoyed.

The horses were on top form at SNEC for the 1.10m Amateur 2nd Rounds with Glow winning the qualifier and Cancun was 3rd, both qualifying for the National Amateur Championships at Aintree in November.

horsescotland training was brilliant as always. It was great to catch up with the team after a summer of shows and fill them in on our achievements since we last seen them. I had a great few sessions flatwork/jumping on Cancun and Cleo with John and Erik who kicked us into shape making us work hard, learning lots of new things. We were very lucky to meet and work with Mark Fisher and Russell Guire for saddle fitting and biomechanics with both horses. It was extremely interesting and I look forward to meeting them again next year with a lot of improvements made. Robyn and Lauren made me work hard for physio and fitness with lots to work on to become stronger.

Massive thank you to Fiona for organising another busy but great couple of days training and to the whole horsescotland team for your help and support. Really appreciate the time and effort they all put in to help us become the best we can, always improving.

We had a great weekend at Scottish Horse of the Year Show which is one of our favourite shows in the year. Con won the 1.10m on Friday winning the Arlene Ferguson Senior Memorial Trophy and Cleo won the foxhunter on Friday. On the Saturday, I was 1st on Cancun, 2nd on Con and 5th on Glow in the Intermediate Championship. I was 2nd on Cancun in the Open Championship and Cleo just had 4 faults. The horses jumped fantastically all weekend after a couple of quiet weekends.

Really looking forward to our next session with the horsescotland team and we are now starting to collect our double clears for next year for regionals, national championships, and amateur championships.
