At the recent horsescotland Annual General Meeting onThursday 25th October 2018 at Forthbank Stadium, Stirling, Patrick Print stood down from the position of Chair with Grant Turnbull subsequently being appointed.
Grant brings a wealth of knowledge and experience through his extensive involvement with British Eventing, British Showjumping, Pony Club and British Riding Clubs. Grant feels privileged to take on the role of Chair and states “I welcome the opportunity to help drive the organisation forward, to increase interaction between Member Bodies and to help support their development in order to raise the profile of Scottish equestrianism. With the support of an excellent Board of Directors, I have no doubt that horsescotland is in a strong position to achieve this”.
Further appointments to the Board were British Horse Society nominated Richard Johnston-Smith. Richard has worked within the equestrian industry for more than 15 years. He is a fully qualified and experienced coach (BHSI) as well as being a Pony Club Centre Coordinator for the South of Scotland, Area 19. Anthony Drew (independent nominee) is a partner in Ogilvie Ross, a specialist consultancy based in Kinross, where he provides strategic communication and negotiation advice across the UK and Europe which puts him in a strong position to provide commercial support and advice.Vicky Campbell was co-opted onto the Board as Finance Director.
