I've had a great start to the season with my 8yo gelding Editor. We have stepped him up a level this year and he hasn't disappointed!
We took our first international trip abroad at the end of March before this Editor hadn't been out competing since December as he he was on a well deserved break to relax and be a horse. We did two weeks in Lier (Belgium) where he was jumping in the CSI** 1.35m classes and jumped a great double clear in the 1.40m to qualify for the world ranking class. We then moved on to do two weeks in Kronenberg, he jumped fantastic there. We were both gaining more experience and confidence at that level. We ended up jumping double clears in the CSI** 1.40m classes.
When we got home Editor got some time in the field and hacking out. We went up to the Cabin Equestrian Centre which was a worthwhile trip as Editor picked up his ticket for the Royal Highland Show qualifying for the B&C championship.
At the beginning of May we headed abroad again this time to Valkenswaard in Holland. It was amazing I have never seen anything like it and would love to go back! Editor jumped fantastic out there, picking up lots of placings at 1.40m level and winning good prize money. I think our best class was when we jumped double clear for 5th in the Grand Prix.
Since coming home Editor has continued his good form jumping clear at Warrington horse show in the 1.30m and coming 5th in the national 1.40m at Morris Equestrian.
