The Deaf, the Daft and the Ditsy!

Karen Inkster lives in Perthshire and in August is setting off with her dog and horse to ride/walk the length of the Outer Hebrides Islands in Scotland. They will be unsupported, carrying all their own camping and corralling equipment. The ride is approx 270km and will take approx 16 days and she is fundraising for the local Riding for Disabled Group in Blairgowrie, Perthshire, of which she is the Chairperson.

Both dog, Pip and horse, Connie are rehome animals. Pip is deaf and Connie is a bit ditsy, so we are called the Deaf, the Daft and the Ditsy! Karen has a Facebook and Just Giving page set up and has already raised over £600. She is hoping to raise a further £2000.

They will be starting their trip from Vatersay in the south and making their way slowly north to Lewis. They will be self sufficient, carry a tent, stove and coral equipment.
